This is about a 13 mile trek that takes you to some of the most scenic places around the Lower Bay, and one that I do almost daily.
Grab your bike and a beach towel and lets go!!

Crown Plaza

Leaving the hotel on your bike, follow these GPS maps. First stop is Queens Way!

Once you round the corner from the Crown Plaza and land on Queens Way, you will find lots of great restaurants and antique stores.
This is also the location of the Saturday night block parties held during the summer. Stop in for a bite and enjoy the outside deck at Marker 20.


Next Stop, Pembroke Bridge

Your have arrived at the base of Pembroke Bridge

This is a beautiful waterfront area located on the Hampton River.
New, is a fantastic park on the left side of the bridge where you can bike and also launch a kyak!
Next Stop, THE BEACH!


Should you need a little "Lift" there is a great air pump for your bike at the
shell station on your left at the intersection on Pembroke and Mercury.

This entire area is just fantastic for biking, what more can you ask for than to be biking beach side along the Chesapeake Bay!
There is an outdoor amphitheater with concerts during the summer, a playground for the kids, and one fantastic beach that also
has paddle rentals.
Next Stop, Salt Ponds Marina.

Your have arrived at Salt Ponds!

Salt Ponds is simply on of the most scenic marinas on the Chesapeake Bay. Amenities are all a boater would want, swimming pool, restaurant, ships store, tiki bar with pool, and very well maintained floating docks. You will enjoy riding your bike around this area a lot.
Last Stop, Historic Phoebus!

Your have arrived in Historic Phoebus!!!

Phoebus is a quaint historic waterside town that is a must for a bikers stop. Phoebus has everything you would need including a bike shop, antique shops, coffee shops, restaurants, and even an irish pub. This is also a great place to see the commercial fishing fleets. Spend some time cruising the streets of Phoebus and see one of americas coolest waterside towns. While your there, be sure to also check out the art gallery on the corner of Mallory and Sewell.
When exiting Phoebus towards Settlers Landing Road, simply take a left on Settlers Landing, and the Crown Plaza Hotel will be on your left past the bridge.
